The spread of options was generous and the quality of food matched what I would expect from a quality breakfast cooked-to-order experience. There were scrambled eggs (fresh not from a box), breakfast potatoes, grits, oatmeal and a variety of breakfast meats at one station. Sliced deli meats and cheeses, bagels, biscuits, and toast at another. Yet another had fresh romaine salad, pickled red onions, capers, smoked salmon, tomatoes, and dressing. Meanwhile the kitchen was busy making pre-made breakfast sandwiches with fried eggs, cheese, and meat on a variety of bread. The coffee was even good! The staff were attentive, friendly, and accommodating. Everyone seemed happy to be there and engaged in ensuring that my and my fellow diners' experiences were the best. What am experience it was! Solely because of this breakfast buffet I will ensure my future trips to Portsmouth will be at this hotel!
