Read MoreI am quite familiar with the Owosso location, which is stellar; great food, great service. After attending a funeral service in Flint, I did a search for Mexican restaurants near me, and was elated to see that an El Potrero location was just around the corner. I went in for one of my favorite signature dishes, and the food was great, as expected. The service, on the other hand, was slow and disengaged (with only 5 cars in the parking lot). From being greeted, to being seated, and all steps through getting the check, slow and disengaged. There were patrons at the bar, one who announced she used to work there, at one point, who greeted and paid more attention to those entering and exiting, and brought a much more inviting atmosphere to the room than the currently employed staff, who seemed to be more put out that customers were taking them away from their chit chat and socializing (which readily showed on their faces and in their demeanor) than anything else. Great little room and great food, regardless. The owners would do well in making staff improvements.
