I love the influx of different types of Chinese food to spice up the restaurant scene in Brooklyn's Chinatown. There's so much variety here nowadays and you can get a taste different regions in China for a decent price.
Dun Huang is one of the restaurants that moved in and opened recently. They are, to my knowledge, Northern Chinese, but I can be wrong. They have fabulous noodles and fried rice, most of them done with the spice mix that defines the region (a tiny hint of mala with cumin and other complimentary flavors). Their beef tripe is served on sticks with a nice hot broth in a cup. The pork burger/sandwich is filled with spice and seasoned just right (done better than Xian Famous Food, imo). Their noodles you can customize and choose your preferred thickness with different ingredients.
Their cucumber salad has a ton of garlic flavor and is super refreshing for such a spice packed meal. They give you rose tea, which has a bright, flowery taste and compliments your meal so well.
Highly rec coming here. Good food, extremely affordable prices.
