It took a bit for them to find the order. Said they had about 100 orders come in all at once. He then said my order was being worked on. Tracker then said being prepared at 7:18pm. At 7:30, tracker said pizza was being checked for quality. Pizza was delivered hot at 7:44pm. It never should have taken that long.
Exceptional customer service would have been to send a complimentary order of lava cakes for my trouble and wait, to ensure a long time customer remained one. I was going to cancel the order and go somewhere else, but my son really wanted pizza.
The driver was extremely apologetic, which I appreciated. However, I explained that It wasn't his fault (he wasn't making the pizza). The pizza was fresh, hot, and delicious! So, I'll give you that. But would I have ever gotten my pizza had I not called? The pizza was also cut in two small pieces and two huge pieces which I had to cut.
I'm one to always extend grace, so we will see how my next order goes and that will determine if i remain a loyal customer of Dominos or go to a competitor for pizza in the future.
