I ordered a pizza a day ahead of time for a small get-together I was having on 9/27/20. When I went to pick up the pizzas at 7:00 PM (my scheduled time), they informed me that someone had accidentally cancelled the order when closing out the night before.
They asked if I was okay with waiting 10-15 minutes for my order and were kind enough to give me HALF OFF my entire order. Yep, that's right—50% off. This turned my entire night around, so not only did I get hot, fresh pizza, but I got a HUGE discount for the price of a little patience.
Sure enough, they had it out within 15 minutes. My server brought my order out to my car and even gave me extra dipping cups of ranch for my chicken wings because of my wait! I can't remember her name, but my receipt says Server 5662 for Order 154785. So, if they can get some sort of credit for excellent customer service, there ya go!
In the future, I probably won't order so far in advance to avoid the same issue, but they made the experience better than if it hadn't been voided in the first place :)
