Glad to have a dim sum option nearby, and it’s convenient they have their own parking area at gulf coast town center.They offer a dim sum menu, and also a regular menu of typical Chinese dishes. It doesn’t taste super authentic, so don’t go into it expecting that. The food was decent, and it would be a good place for kids (not healthy, but meaning kid-pleasing) as they have a lot of carby- mild tasting options like the steamed pork bun, noodles, dumplings, egg tart and sweet sticky rice ball).They do come out in the steamer baskets, but there is no push cart, just order off of the menu by checking off the photo with how many of each you’d like of each dish. Most of the items are either pork or shrimp, which two of our diners didn’t eat either, so they ordered off the regular non-dim sun menu. What we ordered was a lot of fried /oily items so it was in no way healthy lol.Each basket is $4.99-5.99, and typically comes with 3 of the same item. Just a heads up when ordering the fried cruller, it is double fried (quite crispy & oily) like they do when you may want to dip or crumble into congee, not the breadier, single-fry version you may have had before for Chinese breakfast. Also the turnip cake, lo bo gao has pork in there so it’s not vegetarian (though you may ask if they have that option, I didn’t think to do so). The Shanghai soup dumplings were super tiny, so that one I was disappointed about. For 9 baskets, a drink and one regular menu item it was about $70, with leftovers.Service was efficient, no complaints. Love that they had Asian beer selection as I enjoy Japanese beers.We get takeout here to pick up those sweet items the kids enjoyed like the egg tart (I like the “crème brûlée” one, which by the way is not like a real crème brûlée, but it tastes good, and if you order takeout, make sure you ask them to bake it off/torch the top as they often forget) and sesame balls (which sometimes takes a while to make, so call ahead at least 20 min if you’re ordering during the week).Kid-friendliness: Carby, easy to eat items for kids
