I stumbled upon Compas Tacos while hiking in the area and I am happy I did!
Vibe: It's a typical strip center restaurant - nothing fancy, nothing special, but super clean which I appreciate in a restaurant. You order at the counter, and in my case, as it wasn't too busy, they brought my tacos out to me.
Service: Super Friendly and Welcoming.
Food: I should preface that I am a pescatarian, so I am always on the lookout for fish and shrimp tacos. I had one fish and one shrimp taco. The tacos were super plentiful and packed with protein! Two tacos were more than enough for me. Both the shrimp and fish were in a batter and fried, then topped with shredded cabbage, tomatoes, cilantro, and a sauce. The reason I gave this review a 4 was because of the batter. There was a flavor - black pepper and other seasonings that I personally didn't care for. It wasn't offensive, just strong enough that I noticed it. On a positive note, I love restaurants with salsa bars and really liked their Salsa Verde.
If you are in the area, you should definitely check out Compas Tacos!
