If you're in search of a brisket sandwich that scoffs at convention, look no further than Chop House BBQ. My group of 4 decided to take a detour from the tedious world of 'meat' and found ourselves swimming in a sea of glorious fat. A sandwich? More like a performance art piece celebrating the unsung hero of the culinary world: pure, unadulterated fat.
The BBQ sauce? Perfectly passable. Didn't detract from the main attraction, which was, of course, fat. I found it so considerate that the sauce played a supporting role in this ensemble of indulgence.
The ribs, however, deserve an honorable mention. They were the lone heroes in a world dominated by fat, actually boasting a respectable amount of meat. If you're the adventurous type that still craves the occasional meat experience, the ribs are your saving grace.
A word to the wise: The owner claimed they don't serve 'fat brisket.' Clearly, we must have had the VIP experience because our sandwiches were fat through and through. A memorable visit that truly broadened our horizons—both culinary and physically.
