Christmas Eve. Restaurant side was fairly busy, take out was very busy. Food was very good. BUT here’s the rest of the story. First server cautioned us that it was busy. Fine, to be expected. He was a little abrupt but again, almost to be expected. There were 5of us—my wife and I, our adult son, and another couple. A bit of a wait after placing our orders. The other couple got their dinners, about 10 minutes apart, roughly a half hour after we ordered. Son got his about 15 minutes later. Wife got hers another 15 minutes after that. Hey! What about me?! Original server saw after the wife and son got their food and muttered he would check on mine. Never came back to our table. Flagged down another server, he said he would check. Ten minutes later, he said he would check again. (Looked like he had forgotten.) Finally got my dinner after everyone else was pretty much done. Yet another server came out to refill water glasses—told him I expected an adjustment on our bill. 20 minutes later, he came back to refill water again, asked him if a manager was coming out. He said he would check. Ten minutes later, girl come out with credit card machine. Told her I needed an adjustment. She said I’m sorry, I’m sorry, will get someone. Gone. Waited prob another 20 minutes, finally decided to take my bill to the front desk to pay it there. Lady asked me if I was happy, I said no, she offered no further discussion as to why. Since my dinner and 20%tip were about $4 apart, I oaid the bill but zeroed the tip. My friend caught the water guy to ask why no one came out to address the situation, water guy said everyone was in the back. They were too busy. Yeah, it was busy but not -that- busy.
