What a fantastic find! The restaurant was everything we hoped for and more. The meat was smoked to perfection and tender. The chips and queso was amazing so was the guacamole. Service was great too. Highly recommend this jewel of a place.

Was in the area for a trail race and stopped here afterwards. Turned out to be delicious food. Had the picadillo nachos (cousin shared with me) and the carnitas taco on a corn tortilla. Don't miss it if you're ever in Smithville.

Hands down some of the best tacos I've ever had. The homemade chips are spiced perfectly and went great with the queso and salsa. The service was friendly and fast, and a great place to visit after riding the trails!

When everything is closed in my small town, Carne Lenta has my back and belly. The patio is heavenly on good weather days and the AC is better inside. For a hip hopping modern feeling eatery, this is the place in historic downtown.
