A great little place! Don't let the storefront fool you because it almost looks like the front of a convenience store. Once you're inside and step into the dining area, your eyes and your senses are pleasantly surprised. It's very charming, clean, and the decor piques your curiosity. The wine selection is extensive, and the wines we chose were delicious. To start, they brought us warm fresh bread, lightly coated with olive oil. For our meal (shared betwen two of us) we ordered the "tortilla de patatas" which is Spanish style omelet with potatoes and onions confit, and it was tasty. We also ordered the "croquetas espinacas" which are spinach croquettes, and they were amazing. Both of those are listed as snacks/appetizers. For our main dish we had the "paella de la huerta" (individual portion) which is a vegetarian paella (assortment of vegetables & saffron), and it was also delicious. Although it was nearly closing time when we finished our meal, we were not rushed, and everyone was very friendly, attentive and welcoming. The prices are very reasonable, but you should know that only certain wines are available by the glass, and most only by the bottle. Candela is a special find in an unexpected location. Buen provecho!
