Chronicles of the Wildman
I like to ride around and find diners in the North Country. I visited Brookside Diner on 6 July 2018. I walk in and immediately see the bar. There's about 15 bar stools wrapping nearly all around the diner. I'm quite partial to bar stools, so this made me happy. I ordered a sausage plate with over easy eggs and home fries. It was such a large plate that I couldn't finish it. It was quite scrumptious and I left satisfied. Let's address the missing star. If I could remove only half a star, I would have. They had supplies stacked (neatly) in a corner of the dining room; cups, sugar packets, to go boxes, and vacuums. This very well might have been necessary due to a lack of a back room and didn't take away from my experience. I had and otherwise pleasant breakfast. I would visit again.
Update: I have upgraded to 5 stars because the staff of Brookside helped me while I was recovering from a motorcycle accident. The are fun, friendly, and funny. I like hanging out with the regulars as well. Thank you, Brookside!
