I wanted to give the restaurant five stars and provide feedback that the service as a whole just needs to be better. Unfortunately, the food isn’t good enough to save the experience.
30-35 minute wait time for chicken and onion rings? Odd.. but not unheard of… I guess? I won’t complain about the way the restaurant works. However, one that lacks general service for customers and timeliness certainly is not for everyone.
Anyways- I arrive to the restaurant about five minutes early. No problem since I’m early- I’m happy to wait. I wait an additional ten minutes, and watch most of my food get dropped while I’m there. I find this annoying, but I figure it must be fresh. The restaurant is nearly dead. One table other than myself with the four piece tender I ordered.
I’m about to get my food, and the guy forgot the tater tots. He throws them in frantically. I’m on my way after I get the tots.
Surprise, surprise- they’re undercooked when I get home. Onion rings were stale, cold and quite literally inedible. I hurt my tooth by taking a bite into one. How is that possible on an onion ring? Trashed along with the tater tots. The chicken was.. fine? There was one juicy tender out of four and the seasoning and breading was overall lackluster. The owner mentioned they’ve changed their recipe recently? Maybe they need to change back.
An additional “peeve” I have lies with the sauces. They just weren’t good. They were fine. “Meh”.
I’ve never tried this restaurant before at any location. This is a seemingly successful area franchise, so I’m confused as to where this one is going wrong. I enjoy and love to patron local, but I can’t see this restaurant being worth it…. unless they can iron out all kinks explained here.
