It was a weekday afternoon (Thu 1/6/25) when my partner and I had lunch. We saw that BJ’s dining area was full, so we decided to sit at the bar area. There was a good amount of seats to choose from at the bar. There were only 3-4 others dining in this area, so it didn’t appear crazy busy, no bumping elbows or purses, rather, a more chill atmosphere.
We were immediately greeted by the bartender. I forgot to get his name, he needs to be praised. He was mild mannered, friendly, patient and attentive. He was a multitasker-kind of a bartender. That’s the kind we like. It took us awhile to place our order as there was so much to choose from on the lunch menu. We then received our food in no time along with an extra personal BBQ chicken pizza. It was only one personal pizza that I had ordered. The other pizza was BJ’s specialty. The server that brought out the extra pizza was very apologetic as she explained that the error was on them. Minutes later another staff came by, also apologized for their mistake and would bring out the right personal pizza in moments time. Now that’s what I call double re-assurance and great team work. Customer service, with a smile.
It was several minutes that had gone by when the correct pizza arrived. Both of our meals were delicious including our Pizookie dessert. No further issues. Happy campers, we were. To add, we got the lunch menu deal.
If there’s anything to complain about, my partner would have rather selected a not so thick crust; I’m the opposite. The Cesar salad needed a picker-upper taste, it was missing something.
Overall experience at BJ’s in Mission Valley was a 5 star ⭐️
