Read MoreWe found this place via Yelp and were surprised to find that this was not a restaurant per say but a takeout window at a public beachside park. However, the simple American fare was delicious and fresh and you can't hardly beat sitting by the ocean to enjoy your meal. There are ample picnic tables with large umbrellas, and a variety of frozen treats to chose from for desert.
My wife and kids ordered hamburgers. I enjoyed a Billie Burger, not wanting to miss the adventure of trying a burger topped with fries, slaw and a ripe tomato. We split a large fry between us and it was definitely quite large!
All the food was delicious and the staff made you feel like family. They were attentive to our needs, supplying a bounty of napkins for our small children and even squirt guns so we could keep the rascally beach squirrels at bay while we ate.
In all I'd say if you're in the area, especially if you're "beaching" during lunch, then pop by Billies for a hot meal and a cool treat!
