Very nice brunch spot, but the food fell short of expectations. The ambiance of Beacon Hills is very cool, relaxing place to have a meal, like a brunch should be. We normally split dishes because we don't need leftovers to forget about later. First was the coffee cake, it was fantastic and set a high bar. Then the chicken fried steak. Too much breading, not enough tenderizing, leads to rubbery meat with a thick crunchy shell. The scrambled eggs were watery(uck), and the hashbrown sticks were fried too long. Would not recommend that plate.
Our waitress was prompt and polite so that was nice. Could have been an anomaly from the kitchen but I don't think we'll be back to find out.
