This store has become my “GoTo” place!! You can call it a Foody’s Wonderland!! Courtney, the owner makes you feel welcome. She and her staff are extremely helpful. This store has an interesting set-up! You can go there to shop then grab a bite to eat when you’re all done which could take a while because of the vast choices of high-quality merchandise and unique gifts. You might want to eat first so you have the energy to shop! The eating area, to me, was like a sweet little cafe offering menu items that are “local, organic, and sustainable” Plus they offer a barista-type coffee bar (with other beverages)! My family and I went there to shop for kitchen stuff! One of us had a specific item to buy, but when we started to shop, we got lost in the fascination of what was surrounding us! We were like kids in a candy store; no wait, a toy store! It seemed as if we were there for hours. Every time we turned our heads, there was something else so interesting that one of us just had to have it!! It’s heaven for chefs, cooks, foodies, or just someone who loves to cook, entertain, or host parties! It is also the place to go to find unique gifts!! So, if you need a place to shop and then grab a bite or a nice warm/cold cup of coffee, this is the place to be!!! You won’t be disappointed! Many of their products you won't find in your everyday stores. Another reason why I love this store…In today’s world, we can’t seem to avoid toxins; they are everywhere and manufacturers continue to put out merchandise that exposes us to harmful toxins. Courtney is mindful of the quality of the merchandise she sells. I know this because we got into a conversation about a product that I once thought was healthy, but learned new studies have found a certain chemical in it that can cause harm…How many times do we need to hear this story? Courtney carefully sources out her products and considers things such as environmental impact, toxic vs non-toxic, and sensible recycled products! You must check out Athens Cooks!!
