Annam Vietnamese Restaurant is a standout destination for anyone seeking vibrant, elevated Vietnamese cuisine in a chic and ornately designed setting.
The food was absolutely exceptional. The pan-seared spicy tenderloin was the star of the evening—tender, perfectly cooked, and beautifully balanced with heat and depth, and bursting with flavor. It’s the kind of dish you think about days later. Other standouts included the crispy Vietnamese crepe, the pork jowl lettuce wraps, and the king salmon clay pot, a bold, peppercorn-forward savory dish.
The watercress with beef and egg salad was just okay in comparison—not bad, but simply outshone by the rest of the menu’s heavy hitters.
Service-wise, while the server lacked the polish you’d expect from a fine dining experience, the manager (or possibly owner) more than made up for it. They were welcoming, attentive, and deeply invested in the dining experience, offering explanations and genuinely caring about feedback. Their passion and professionalism elevated the night considerably.
One small note: the table surface was noticeably sticky. When we brought it up, the manager explained that it was due to the varnish—not grime—which was a relief, though still a bit distracting.
All in all, Annam is a place I’d return to in a heartbeat. The flavors are bold and beautifully executed, the ambiance is stunning, and the care from management makes it feel special. It’s a culinary experience that leaves a lasting impression—and a craving to come back for more.
