My wife and I have been waiting to see what this place was going to be. We were trying to decide what to do for lunch and noticed that it was finally open. It turns out that it's a local competitor to Chipotle. Now, imagine if Chipotle's food wasn't impossibly bland (I mean, really how is their food so bland!?) and their tortillas weren't made in a Goodyear factory. I was happy to find that Andale checks all the delicious boxes possible. I ended up getting a birria burrito. The birria was packed with flavor and the texture was spot on. I went with mexican rice and it was cooked not mushy. Win. Solid pinto beans. Grilled onions. A fresh salsa verde. Topped it off with some sour cream and cheese. I was super happy to find that tortilla was actually edible! It was soft and held together throughout my grub down. My wife picked up a grilled chicken burrito with white rice, pinto beans, and a really poppin' pico de gallo. She was SUPER happy with choices. When we were ready to pay we were treated to a sample of their queso cheese dip. It is straight fi-yur. We both realized it would have been a transcendent experience to have it in the burrito. However, we're both trying to not die and decided that drowning ourselves in cheese may not be the best idea. Moderation people! It's only my first visit, but I'll be back again without a doubt. I'm always down to support local business and if you have a Chipotle craving, hit up Andale instead. You'll be glad you did.
