First time visiting Island Kine and I'll definitely go back. I got the potsticker appetizer which was only $4 and the Mixed Plate for $13. Pros - Large portions consistent with what I paid All three meats were well seasoned and tasted fresh The place was very clean Staff was friendly and helpful The food wasn't overloaded with teriyaki sauce and came with an extra cup of it to add at my discretion. Smelled awesome when I pulled it out of the bag The shredded pork is bomb and it's what will have me returning. The Hawaiian Mac was basically macaroni salad but made with something other than straight mayo. It had a subtle sweetness in it's dressing and I actually enjoyed it (I think mayo is gross and I don't normally eat really anything with macaroni noodles (yes, I know that's weird)) They have bendy straws! No angled head tilts to get a drink while driving for this girl! Coke products, iced tea, a special drink that wasn't in stock, and mellow yellow for you dew drinkers And cool tables Not-so-pros - The potstickers are fried. I knew this before I ordered them but figured it would be worth a shot for 4 bucks. They weren't bad but, being fried, the crisp edges kind of hurt my mouth. The first piece of beef was awesome but had a bit of fat on it. I'd prefer a chef remove the fat prior to cooking unless it's a ribeye The beef and chicken were mostly large pieces that had to be cut. As a person that eats on the go (at stoplights) , that was a tiny pain. Some thoughts for management- The counter staff didn't tell me there were utensils in the bag so I grabbed some on my way out. You could save on your plastic by having that mentioned. The only reason I stopped in today was because I was waiting in traffic at just the right angle to see the open sign. Granted, it's on your front door but it's facing your parking lot. I've never stopped before because I can't tell from the street if you're open. Also, I was a little worried I was about to enter a coffee shop since the name of the restaurant ends with Grinds. Maybe a sign or some pictures that are street facing would help people know that you have food and a lot of it.

Best Hawaiian/Teriyaki Food! Every time I eat here I have to get enough to go for leftover meal at home. Try the stir fry rice, Lumpias are great, everything is great. Nice portions. Great service! Friday night there's dancers!

I came to try out this restaurant for frist time. Nice atmosphere and food. I had the DA Grinds mix plate. Big portions and grate mac salad. Will be coming back and recommend it to friends and family.

A smaller menu than some other Hawaiian restaurants, but all that tells me is that they don’t make everything, they make everything well. Great place for Nampa to have! I got the teriyaki chicken. It’s boneless. Comes with hefty sides of rice and Mac salad. Big fan!!
