Outstanding food and service. My friends had not tried this restaurant, but recommended it because they like the Hynes Group.A friend and I were in Plymouth for a day trip and I mentioned 71 Degrees. She took a look at the reviews on one site and said we're going somewhere else. We parked nearby to see that Rock, so when it was time to eat, my friend said let's check it out. The restaurant is beautiful! The furnishings look brand new. We arrived around 3PM on a Sunday in November 2023. The place was packed. Friendly hostess seats us by a window with a wonderful view of the patio and ocean. The complimentary bread with the whipped butter and olive oil in separate small bowls: hot, fresh, and fantastic. My friend usually skips the bread -- not that day. She took half of the loaf. This is one of the best restaurant breads I have ever tasted. The Berry Beet Salad was another winner. Beets and blackberries were lovely. More berries or cheese would have heightened the flavor profile. My friend and I split the salad.I was trying to decide between the Reuben sandwich and the meatloaf. Our amazing server recommended the meatloaf instead, the portions are really good. The server was totally correct. I usually don't take how many leftovers and I had to box more than half the meatloaf. The meatloaf was excellent prepared and had sautéed onions and mushroom sauce over it with a substantial amount of mashed potatoes. Green beans were also excellent. The friend had the Schrod. she asked the server if she could get less of the potatoes and more of the green beans. The server asked if she wanted double the green beans instead of the potatoes. That worked out really well. For dessert, I'm allergic to peanut butter so we couldn't get the first item. I believe my friend and I said we didn't like bread pudding that much. And we spoke to the server and asked her what customers liked and she recommended the bread pudding. So we got that and the bread pudding at 71° is unlike any bread pudding we've ever had. First of all the portion was huge and more than enough for two people. The second thing I noticed was the texture of the bread pudding was very light in texture which I liked, more like a fluffy chiffon cake. I really appreciated all the whipped cream, the strawberries, the cinnamon ice cream, and the caramel. I would be happy to order it again.Frankie was our server. If there were awards for service, Frankie would get them. She was attentive, checked up on us frequently, refilled our drinks, took our pictures at our request, had a great attitude, and gave great food recommendations. The ambience was impressive. I found a noise levels were moderate, but nothing too loud, unlike what I've seen in other reviews. Women's bathroom is beautiful with blue bricks on the inside and gorgeous, shiny new fixtures. Even the stall doors were well-made with strong latches. The restaurant is on a second floor, and there is an elevator that people can take or the stairs. There is no sign on the outside of the restaurant, but it seems like the town knows where this place is.
