Good portions, good flavors. Great for brunch or breakfast anytime of the day. I particularly loved the cheesy grits. A few people noted that the spicy dishes were on the spicy side. I love spicy food and didn’t notice, so perhaps they were a little sensitive.

The funniest thing about this place is the fact that I found it based solely upon the fact that it fell within the "middle" of 2 locations. I met an old military buddy here. Old Jarhead 😁. He loved it! I gave him a piece of my chop and he was convinced that he was returning. Now...on to the review. If you have read my reviews, I am blatantly honest. Depending on which way you are being mapped by Google, you will somehow get stuck behind the valet parking service. Not the best idea to have "waiting cars" at the entrance of a 1-lane road. I didn't know what the holdup was nor why there was an empty car sitting in the road. It impedes the right-of-way for every car behind it. Now you are faced with waiting for oncoming traffic to free up so that you can go around it. Add on patrons walking to and from the restaurant because this is all taking place right by the entrance. Parking is competitive. The restaurant is nestled in a beautiful bustling community of businesses and apartment homes. Although I parked in the far back of a dimly lit area 🤔...I felt safe. Yes, simply because of the surroundings. There was a wait. I don't know what it's like on a daily basis but, this was a Friday night at 6. We patiently waited by the dessert display case. The waiting seating/area is limited and blocks the entrance. They have room to expand and if it's always this packed, I would think about moving the "to go" parking for expansion. On this night, any "high" table was up for grabs. We ended up sharing a table with a couple and their grandson. Lovely pair. I opened a conversation by asking the female for suggestions. She raved about the brussels and ribs. Both of which were on the appetizer menu. HE didn't want brussels so...I chose guacamole instead. I never received the lime so I used the lemon from my water to zest up the guacamole. The big chips were plenty enough. By the time our entrees arrived the older couple was gone and a couple more our age was next to us. Everyone at the table was staring at my dish. Let me go back and describe the seating situation. In the bar area are several 8-top, rectangular, high tables. If the chair is empty, you can sit there without a wait. At any point in the night, different people are sitting at the same table. I call that a form of "community dining". Now back to the deliciousness... My porch chop was grilled to perfection. Beneath the chutney were beautiful cross bars - a grillers pride and glory. Juicy, flavorful and thick. The carrots were just as delicious. The added plus of the sweet and savory runoff juices from the chop added to the flavor mix of the carrots. The couple was in awe so much so that the gentleman had to ask me what I ordered. I gladly told him and offered him a bite. My Jarhead openly admitted that he liked my dish more than his own. The atmosphere was bustling in and out of the restaurant. Loved it. Again, found out of a simple zoom. I lucked out! Go go go!!
