I really wanted to enjoy my experience at 101 Asian Cuisine, and to be fair, the service was absolutely outstanding. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we felt welcome throughout our visit.
Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to the same standard. I ordered the shrimp fried rice, and while the portion was generous, several of the shrimp hadn’t been deveined, which was disappointing. It’s a small detail, but one that makes a big difference.
The pork egg roll left a lot to be desired. It tasted like something you’d get from a cheap, frozen vendor—definitely not freshly made. The texture and flavor just screamed "mass-produced."
The biggest letdown, though, was the orange chicken. It was clear from the first bite that this dish started off frozen and prepackaged. The sauce was overly sweet, and the chicken itself lacked any juiciness and was instead, dry.
I’m sure there are better dishes on the menu, and based on the exceptional service, I’d be willing to give them another shot. But for now, I can’t recommend the dishes we tried. Hopefully, next time the food will match the level of care and attention their staff provides.
