Read MoreI'm happy Publix is finally here in N.KY because they offer some great specialty items that other stores can't match. Their fresh, made-to-order sandwiches are undeniably delicious 😋! The bakery department has people raving about the cakes 🎂 and pies 🥧. Publix also stocks some southern brands that Kroger does not carry here, e.g., Blue Plate mayonnaise, Louisianne Tea, and Arden's Garden. During the grand opening event, everyone who is someone in Publix management was on station greeting guests. The employees were all very friendly and welcoming to me and my family. In each department, people were eager to help us find what we needed. Concerning the pricing of products, always comparison shop; some items were very competitive and others were not. Be a smart shopper and know what you should pay 😉.
Went back 2 weeks after grand opening for buy-one-get deals; which are a great value if you need what is on offer. The flowers looked nice but fell apart after 3 days. I also tried the pizza 🍕 and was not impressed. (Costco pizza is much better) The sauce had no flavor, and the crust was dense and hard. Also bought a sandwich 🥪 to take home. I was not impressed with the Rueben (Izzy's does it right). It is still great to have Publix in the neighborhood, especially for the Buy-1-get-1 offers.
