Publix Super Market at Market at Hays Farm in Huntsville

Very helpful employees and the place is kept spotless.If you stand too long in one place, an employee will ask if you need any assistance. That is rare in any other grocery store around here.The sushi and subs at the deli are favorites of mine. The chicken wings are pretty good and they are also a good deal for the price.

They get a star because their sandwiches are fantastic, the workers are friendly, and I love the eating area upstairs!Unfortunately, it is always so difficult to checkout. Anytime I visit, Publix only has one checkout open. If you don't buy a lot of groceries or vegetables, you will be OK with the self-checkout. Otherwise, I would recommend a different store.

Went to Publix with Holly for lunch. They have an amazing deli bar where we got some delicious fries chicken, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, lobster bisque, and olive salad. The olive bar there is super cool not to mention that there's a huge deli bar where you can get a smorgasbord of delicious home style cooking with a twist of unique options.

I ordered fruit, Mac n cheese, and chicken platters for an event. When I went to pick it up (40 ish mins before event) I was told by deli staff that they couldn’t do the Mac n cheese or chicken.I was never notified of this and his response was that they were busy. Customer service was very helpful and gave us a huge discount and provided another item from the deli counter for my event…that’s why I have this 2 stars instead of 1.I’m very hesitate to order again which is such a bummer because we love the food and convenience of this location.

I have gone into this store numerous times looking for Diet Green tea, Publix brand. They make great tea, but this location never has the diet green tea in stock. Yes, there is a place in the cooler where it has a location tag. The location is convenient but not if they never have the one thing you're looking for. I wouldn't recommend this location.

Every Publix is clean, but man you should see them when they're new :-)! One of the things I'm most excited about this new location is the second floor dining area that is set on the patio! It faces East, so the sun won't be unbearable in the summertime. Also, the deli looks fantastic with a lot of customizable dishes for lunch and dinner. I'm looking forward to having this so close to my house.

Found this Publix to be a super grocery store to shop in. When you walk in, it's bright & clean. The people serving you at the deli counter do a great job getting your cold cuts & cheeses cut to perfection. The produce has always been fresh & delicious. It is also easy to find everything & the bakery, oh my, take me away. They also seem to have a pretty good selection of wine & beer. Never had to wait too long in the checkout lanes. (Oh, maybe I shouldn't tell people how much I like this store). Another thing, the customer service people are wonderful. Returns are easy & if you can't find an item, they will order it for you, if it's available. If you need to take a break, there is an upstairs seating area. The people at the deli are really nice too. They try to please.

I ordered a sandwich online for pick up to save time, which was the first time I've ever tried this service, and I was prepared the wrong sandwich. I was highly disappointed. And why is the pick up near the customer service? It's off in a corner and not obvious. Since I didn't know where, I ended up going through the deli line to ask. Such a waste of time and nerves, ending without what I ordered. There is a difference between Italian bread and Italian sandwich meat.

Every time Pierre is working he's always a bright light! His customer service is superior to anyone else that helps us anywhere. Anytime we need anything he goes above and beyond to help us. One example: Today he was with his stocking cart refilling the cooler with Milos teas. We walked up looking at the orange juice right beside where he was working. With a smile and positive attitude he stops and goes to move out of our way. We insisted that he was just fine. We preceded to look around at the deli where 2 other employees ignored us. He stopped doing his work and went above and beyond to make sure we left happy. Employee's like him are the reason people continue to bring companies business. When we are greeted by rude service we discontinue to spend our money at that establishment. Thank you for your great attitude and service today sir!

Caring, professional staff in the Publix Pharmacy made getting a shot 💉 less painful. I was warmly greeted. Subsequent interactions were easygoing. Mutual respect was shown and felt by genuine attentiveness to patient inquiries and kind, non-agitated or threatening eye-contact. The pharmacist or nurse administered my immunization with a quick, gentle prick. She and her coworkers were absolutely wonderful.As an intriguing side note: before finalizing my online appointment at Publix, I visited a major competitor in close proximity. I waited for the pharmacy specialist to look up and minimally acknowledge one human presence to another. After about 90 seconds of being ignored, I departed. Choosing Publix was definitely the right decision!

Don't expect to follow the same route you do at any other Publix. The bakery is on the back left side of the store. This confuses my one year old who thinks cookies are required for proper grocery shopping.The staff here is incredible and so helpful.I love the balcony. It's nice to grab a sandwich and have a little spot to eat.The bathrooms are always so nice and clean.The crew here is doing a great job.

I love Publix in general, but this is my favorite one! It's a very open style setup with great organization of their products, they seem to have a lot more variety than the other locations I frequent, and the employees are always super nice when I come in there. It's like a mini shopping excursion every time I go since I live so far away, so I get excited any time I'm coming to Huntsville and try to make a special stop just to check things out.

Really enjoyed shopping there until I noticed some guy was following me around the store my entire shopping trip. Then realized it was an employee.Dude, not everyone is a shoplifter. I just moved here from a place that doesn't have a Publix and the way the store is set up is a little overwhelming. I probably should have just turned around to confront him and asked him to help me find what I was looking for. The frozen vegetable section is tiny. There's literally only one choice for frozen peas and carrots? And it's Publix store brand and costs about twice as much as it should? No other choices?Maybe they should update the signs for the aisles so it's an accurate indication of what's actually there. Then people wouldn't have to wander around so much.

I have gotten my prescription which are many. 5-6 RX per month for years and years at Publix because of their usual outstanding customer service. I just went to pick my refill up and the young girl that waited on me snapped at me because they had not received RX from my doctor. WE DONT HAVE THAT RX !!! I don't know if she's having a bad day but I can assure you there are about fifty other places to get mine filled. I work in customer service and I find it highly offensive. She didn't have to take a tone with me over that.Update: called manager of the pharmacy she excused the girl's behavior as "she was just telling you we didn't have the prescription " Never apologized once and told me she was standing there when she said it. When I remarked she was hateful to me the MANAGER OF THE PHARMACY told she disagreed with me.Is that how you handle customer complaints? Because you don't think she snapped and was rude to me then her behavior is not only tolerated but acceptable. I don't think so.

First time in this Publix. My lady and I wanted a quick meal, so we chose the deli. She had potato soup and a baguette. I had a veggie wrap. The soup was sort of bland, but could have been fixed if we'd have tasted it in the store. My girl is German, so she prefers the crunchy baguette, but this one was doable. My wrap was good, but I've had better at other Publix. However. I gave five stars because Publix is generally a five star store.

I have to go here because my medicine gets called in here but I can promise I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE! I recently lost cards and I was told by word of mouth that they allow you to put your cards in manually. I thought great idea! I happened to have a picture of my card too so just in case there was a problem I could verify it was me! Well that was where my happiness ended because from here on out it was a headache. I went on in to the store and while waiting for my Rx’s to be filled(which actually turned into having to call my doctors office because once again the policy changed for my medicine to be filled) I did a little shopping. I decided to go ahead and just go on up to customer service to check out and confirm that I could actually do that with my missing card. The lady acted like I was trying to scam her or something and immediately said that company policy stated I have would need a physical copy of my card in order to manually put in the numbers(yes that’s right, I need the CARD to manually put in the numbers….but if I had the card I would not need to manually put in the numbers…) when I said this to the lady she said she could ask her manager. She turned around and walked two steps to her left and began to whisper to who I can only assume was the manager. Both women looked over their shoulders at me periodically while whispering and shaking their heads. I knew before she turned back around what the answer would be. Both laughed at something and then she returned to the counter. In a very condescending manner she restated the store policy for the 3rd time. I even I mentioned that I had a picture of the card, she still insisted there was nothing more she could do. At this point I decided to call corporate and this women insisted that was their policy and if I wanted she could transfer me to the manager of the store I was complaining about. I asked her what that would do? She didn’t reply just asked if she could place me on a hold. When we she came back on she again asked me if I wanted to talk to the manager. I told her no! That I would be leaving my card of groceries for them to put away and taking my business to Walmart. Thing is I hate them just as much! Sad that these large retail stores don’t care about their customers and their company policies are stupid!

Stood in line to get a sub sandwich for 25 minutes. We were the only people in line. There was only 1 worker at the counter helping someone with lunch meat. Another employee came behind the counter, saw us, and continued to walk away. A store a manger was at the front desk as well as 2 other employees. They saw us leave out shopping cart full of groceries and walk out after not even being acknowledged. Felt like I was at wal-mart

There's something about Publix that just makes grocery shopping a pleasure. Unlike other stores where it feels like a chore, I actually enjoy going into Publix and doing my grocery shopping. A big part of that is because of their fantastic produce department. The produce is always fresh and they have a great selection. But even beyond that, the store is always clean and well-organized. And if I ever can't find something, the app is really helpful in telling me which aisle to go to. But more than anything, it's the staff that really makes Publix a great place to shop. They're always friendly and willing to help.

This is not my normal Publix but stopped in for a few things. Self checkouts DO NOT TAKE CASH. This is ridiculous !!! If you're going to have self checkouts Publix should take all forms of tender especially cash ! I then went to a register that had a light on and no cashier. The cashier showed up after a short period. I could have already checked myself out if cash was taken at self checkout. You can do better Publix, this is not Walmart !!!!!

Publix is a GREAT place to shop! The cakes are pretty & made just right! The have fresh watermelon which I love♥️I'm so happy they built this newest one on South Pkwy. Great customer service. Cashier's & all of the employees are wonderful & helpful if I cannot find something. I would recommend them to everyone. Also the cat food is priced good as it is the best. My cat loved it- canned food ♥️

The store is beautiful, and has great selections, and everyone is very nice and helpful. I have shopped at Publix for years, the major frustration is trying to checkout. When you have a lot of groceries, it is easier to go through regular checkout than self-checkout. The times I shop their is only one checkout lane open and this is when things start getting busier 4-5pm. The line grows longer and no other lane is opened. I also help sack my own groceries, because it is not fair to the one cashier. I see several people standing around and not watching or helping. They are usually watching the self-checkout. I know that this is the coming trend, bu,I still want to use a regular checkout lane when I spend 100.00 or more per shopping trip. Not the Publix it use to be.

Publix has once again done it right! The new store has become my new favorite place to shop. I have been frequenting the ready to eat section and the usual Publix sandwiches are tasty, the hot food selection is good, and I really enjoy the ramen and sushi! The produce is fresh with a varied selection. I have been able to find items that have been long gone from other grocer's shelves that I have missed! Prices here are higher in comparison to other stores but with the deals and discounts along with coupons I find it very reasonable.I have always enjoyed going to the older store on Mt. Gap Rd. but it was just a little too out of the way. Great location, friendly staff, reasonable prices, good food. 5/5 ⭐

I came in the Saturday of Labor Day weekend and placed an order for 2 dozen wrapped roses with a bow to pick up at 12 PM on 9/17. I was told I would get a call when they were ready. I called the next week to confirm the order and was told that I would not get a call, but that it would just be ready by 12. I called the day of to confirm that I could pick up after 12, more around 2:30. They said yes and that it would definitely be ready. When I got there at 3, my order was NOT ready and the gentleman in produce made my order in front of me, but he was not the florist so it was not up to the standards I expected. I am not mad at him because it is not his fault but what is the point of placing an order if it would not be ready? However, the new produce manager, Seth, did give me a discount for the inconvenience. I appreciate his help.

Just about anything you could want is here. Very well organized, well stocked, something for everyone. They even have an area we're you can sit and enjoy the lunch you purchase from one of the food prep places near the front of the store. They have a deli for getting sliced meat or made to order sandwiches, Asian foods including fresh made sushi (so good). There are fresh made salads and other quick grab lunch or dinner items. Shopping is easy, quick, and enjoyable here. Staff is super in helping and knowing where items are located.

Beware of racism at self checkout.I always shop at this particular Publix; however, after my most recent experience I will be reconsidering. I went to the self check out and I was not the only customer checking out. I purchased several items including a bowl of soup. With the soup I grabbed the free crackers that are in the soup buffet area. After I completed my purchase, the cashier accused me of stealing cheese for some reason. I think she thought the crackers were cheese. As soon as I walked up to the self checkout she stood behind me when there were other customers checking out. I felt like a theft which was unfair.

Really outstanding customer service at this store I’m general, but the bakery staff was especially great. They made a birthday cake, and I asked for a cupcake with the same flavor (Raspberry Elegance). They did it in a few hours and did a great job. All of my cakes are going to be purchased here.Sierra G., a checkout employee is so helpful and sweet.

Publix is know for its always fresh produce and this location in South Pkwy does not disappoint. They have an outstanding array of products to select from. Very clean store with friendly and helpful employees. Other grocery stores should be taking notes on how to run a successful business. It's obvious that keeping customers happy is at the top of Publix's agenda.

My Dad always told us kids to apply for work, not just for a job. There's a difference. People at this Publix want to work, which is obvious when I shop here. Last time I shopped here I just mentioned that I was sorry they didn't have a certain product, and the helpful clerk whipped out her phone, checked and found where they did have the product. Saved my day for me. Happens every time I go; I am impressed by their customer service.

Finally was able to visit the store today. Beautiful store. Employee was very helpful. It is setup a little different than the other store but I really like this one. I will learn the store quickly. Produce was great and the meat area good. Publix is known for great produce and this doesn’t disappoint. I also had a chance to visit the pharmacy and realized it has a drive thru. This is a big plus for me when I don’t want to go in the store. I want to enjoy the seating they. 5 stars isn’t enough.

Store is nice but deli is very slow workers are awesome (the one who works) seems like they have a lot of staff in the area but nobody wants to pitch in to help when the line starts growing. I go to this Publix often on my lunch break and I end up waiting almost 30 minutes on multiple occasions for some lunch meat. The staff is nice but seems like it lacks team effort alot of employees are in the area but the line grows and grows and staff in the area don’t pitch in to help the growing deli line. If I want lunch meat I think I will drive to airport road. Every time I went to get deli meat I have waited well over 20 minutes every single time. A little disappointed in the way the staff doesn’t help their coworkers especially when you see the growing line of frustrated people working. Management might want to help out when they see their team struggling instead of stocking produce or walking around restocking forks. I feel bad for the workers in that area the one worker they have works hard and you look around and see multiple staff just daydreaming very disappointed in this overcrowded Publix one check out with very crowded self checkouts…. Do better Publix

Produce looked good as usual, but I was surprised to see only one checkout lane open , the rest was self service 😞 I didn't want to walk to the far end , so I used self checkout . It was self checkout from the dark ages. "Please put items back in baging area".Publix is not the same as they were when worked there.I'll go for the fruit onlyLess service but still the higher prices. I'll go and get better prices for the same service
