Beautiful trail from Santee to Lakeside. About 6 miles long, mostly flat with beautiful spots to sit and enjoy the view of the San Diego River. There’s street parking on the Santee side and a parking lot on the Lakeside side. Go early as there...Read More

This is a great place to have a routine walk, run or ride. The official River Walk trail begins at Magnolia and extends East all the way to Channel road in Lakeside. Nice features along the way, like a secluded wooden semicircle deck with shade....Read More

Great place for a relaxing walk. Not crowded. Great for dogs and biking! Lots of parking on the street. Not too much shade available.

This was a nice morning walk in the winter. It’s close to the freeway, so the road noise detracts from the experience at time. It’s also surrounded by buildings, so you don’t really ever escape civilization. Still, it is scenic and well-maintained.

This is a new favorite for our family of 5. We love to bike and run this path. It’s well maintained, clean, and a great variety of scenery. The path is mostly very smooth compressed gravel, with a few spots of erosion here or there....Read More
