The square has a gazebo in the center and everything centers around that. The train literally passes by the square and you can watch it. Has an old train engine that you can climb up and look at the engineers work area. A caboose that you can climb up on and check out. Most kids are crazy about this.
Lots of shops and restaurants around the square. My favorites are Lost Pizza and Mensi’s Dairy Bar.
Also right up the street is Morton’s Museum. It is fun to tour as well.
We usually hit Lost Pizza and then a walk through the square and wrap up with hitting a few shops. Also enjoy going in the Army Surplus Store.
Not sure what to call it, but there are to columns for cyclists. First is a pump to inflate your tires. Second is tools to repair your bike. Tools are secured to prevent theft. Picture of them is part of the review.
