I wish I had come earlier because the gate to drive to the summit closes at 7, but I was delighted to find how built up this place has become! There is a splash pad, complete with covered seating along the sides. There is a...Read More

Great location park in Waltham MA. Admission is free. Multiple hiking trails (although almost all start uphill). The top offers a great view of Boston (sadly we were there on one of the days with the wildfire). Can drive all the way to the...Read More

WOW i was not expecting this to be an actual hiking park. Didn’t know what I was getting myself into bc I drove past it thinking it’s a flat elevation park that’s small. It’s anything but flat and the exact opposite of small. There is...Read More

Very good grounds for children, nice uphill trails, view points, picnic areas and attraction like a Glacial stone make this park a welcome space in Waltham. The trails are marked and pets on leash are allowed. Note the park rules on the pictures.

Great view of Boston at the top! This park used to be a ski area back in the day so there are some steep paths going directly up from the green buildings. Great views in the winter, better views and more to do in the...Read More

Lovely hike with a fantastic view of Boston. It has some steeper parts to get your blood pumping but nothing too difficult, more periodic bursts of invigoration. There are some less pretty / more pedestrian parts (hint: these are the paved parts) but it's easy...Read More

Just moved to Lexington and wanted a nice little hike. Came into the park blind and wow it was a surprise, great view after a short hike and quiet enough that I come here everyweekend, set up my hammock, and read.

If you're living around Waltham, there really aren't many peaks to climb other than Prospect Hill Park. Great for families and really anyone who doesn't want to make the hike to either Blue Hill or out of state.

Lovely view from the top, lots of interesting plants. Black raspberries when I went, looks like there will be blackberries later. Lots of poison ivy as well - boots and tall socks or long pants are useful here.

Has nice playground with zipline, shaded picnic area, splash park, and some cute carnival rides for young children during weekends of warm weather months. Really an awesome park for both locals and visitors to spend time.
