Traveled from the East Coast for a P-51 ride. What a wonderful experience! The whole staff were so nice and treated us very well. The museum is chock full of rare airplanes, including many Japanese and German planes. They really need about twice the hangar space to display everything. Because it's a working airport and not just a museum, you may see actual maintenance underway - we saw an annual check being preformed on a P-40, with gear exercised, engine cowlings off, etc. This helps one to appreciate all the time and effort put in by their volunteers to keep these machines airworthy. Only regret is that our 4 hours following the ride wasn't quite enough time to see everything.
