This tour was totally worth the price of admission! It started a bit late because the tour guide was waiting for everyone who had bought tickets to arrive, and then lasted over an hour. Our tour guide was super knowledgeable and did great answering our questions. Sadly, not everything in the house is original but a lot was. Everything was thoughtfully curated to match the time period (early/mid 1890s) and the pictures of what was originally in the house though wallpaper/wall color is not completely restored. This is history worth preserving, and I'm so grateful the group continues their phenomenal work. I enjoyed learning about the early history of Milwaukee. I totally recommend this tour for visitors to the city as well as lifelong residents. There is a modern elevator and, I believe, a small restroom available for use on the first floor. Our group was 22 people, and we didn't have much trouble fitting in the rooms or any problem hearing the tour guide despite a lack of a microphone. Great experience! Also, easy, free street parking by the Milwaukee Rescue Mission.
