This was one of the best museums to date we've been to. The mining exhibit was so cool, never seen anything like it before in a museum. They dug out a good portion of the basement and made it look like a working 1800s mine,...Read More

Highly recommend visiting this museum in Carson City. I haven’t been for probably almost 30 years. They purchased a bank next to the original building and built an extraordinary mostly glass building that connects the two. All of the fantastic displays I remember from years...Read More

My wife and I were driving through Carson City and found this museum and I'm so glad we did! There were so many amazing exhibits including an underground mine re-creation. And for the price of admission being $10 its a no brainer.

I like museums but they aren’t the best with kids who get board easily. However this museum turned the experience into a scavenger hunt. An when the kids got done they got a prize! Made for a fun adventure.
