There's a great collection of trolleys here! I was extremely lucky to have taken trips on two different types of trolleys during my visit. The docents are extremely knowledgeable, and willing to answer all of your questions. Will be back in the spring/summer to ride...Read More

My 6 year old adored this museum. The fascination for trains, tracks, and locomotives in general is well quenched here at the museum. The street car ride, just makes the entire experience multiply. To add to this, having Mr & Mrs Claus just made it...Read More

Probably one of the most underrated museums I’ve ever been too. Everyone here was very knowledgeable and kind. Plus we lucked out on being able to ride two different trolleys (truly by chance-thank you!) enjoyed every moment.

For a train or trolly enthusiast this is a great place to checkout! Very neat collection of some very old trollies. The museum section is small but very informative of the local regional trolly history. Also an interactive display for the kids. The staff was...Read More

While the inside of this museum was a little underwhelming your entrance fee pays for a trip on an actual trolley through the woods! The ride itself was 100% worth the cost of admission! There is a miniature set up of a town with a...Read More

Excellent destination for family. It is a volunteer run museum that is a must see for every Washingtonian, whether you are into railroads or not. Fascinating history of DC's cable cars (technically not pulled by cable), their growth and demise brought to life with multiple...Read More

It's fun experience for everyone. The place is run by volunteer staff who are really enthusiastic about the museum. They take pride in explaining about the museum and the history of trolleys

Cute little museum with the local trolley history. My son enjoyed playing with the kid friendly train set and the trolley ride. Lots of history to learn about. Trolley rides every hour.

Our grandson's 5 th birthday party was here. Nice birthday room, tour of the museum and about a 20 minute trolly ride. Enrolment enjoyed it. Nice grounds and staff.

Visited on a Friday and had a great time, no crowd. My 3-year old enjoyed it, there were a few age-appropriate hands-on experiences. Older kids would get more out of the museum but still a good outing for little ones. We mainly went to ride...Read More

We have been coming here for about 4 years. In 2024 they did a Christmas event. Ride the trolley with Santa and Mrs Clause. The best thing we did to go see Santa. The cutest Santa, so real, affordable. Plenty of hot chocolate and cookies...Read More

Great place for a not too long visit. The trolley ride is definitely the highlight. There are several trolley cars on display. A recreation of a trolley track that kids can start the car sized trolley and power on lights in the "town."

Really cool museum. It's cheap ($12) to get in and the tickets go towards preservation of the streetcars. The folks there seem to just do it because they love trolleys. Taking a ride on their private track on a nice day on a vintage streetcar...Read More

This is worth going into Maryland for if you like trains, especially trolleys. They have trolleys from around the world in their hangar, as well as the trolleys that used to run through DC's streets. You'll even get to take a ride inside one of...Read More
