Channel 3 came out and televised the game. The undefeated Cubs versus the Red Sox. The Red Sox lost to the Cubs 3 times in the regular season. But on this fateful night, they won 6-2 to become the Fontana City Champions that year. I still have the tape we recorded the game on. And the triple I hit off the right field fence to put us in the lead will always be one of my favorite memories. We won't talk about the next play. A line drive to first that caught me leading off 3rd too far only to get picked off. Oh well the first part of that memory is the best!
