Worth going. It is always nice to find protected nature especially in the middle of a beautiful college campus. The founder’s 200 year old tree is there too. Gorgeous flowers, scents , everything!

Excellent Areboretum! Easy walking and steeper trails. Benches throughout to sit. Great place to bring kids, picnic on the lawn, hike. Bring binoculars for birdwatching!

The Arboretum has many signs with QR codes that lets you listen to different bird calls that are native to Alabama. You'll find a variety of flora from northern Alabama to the gulf coast. Very scenery place to unwind and learn about the Alabama water...Read More

What a wonderful place to take a walk! Different areas include species specific to different regions and environments in Alabama. Some of the signs are getting worn but this is a fantastic location to explore!
