The clock isn't much but the statues around it move with some music on the hour and half hour. It's worth taking a look if you happen to be nearby at the right time.

“I love it, it's very old movie. Outside it drizzles, grey. New York City, enveloped in the light mist. Two lovers have a date to meet at 6 o'clock. It's four minutes to six. You're pacing up and down, rain drops have just started to fall. You're at your Delacorte clock in Central Park. he's waiting, the...Read More

Reminiscent of Herald Square's clock of animated ironwork sculptures, the Delacourte Clock chimes every half hour, to which everybody from the zoo and passersby flock. The ironwork is impressively lifelike. A sturdy plaque commemorates the clock, and a lone statue (like those which rotate) is...Read More

The clock rings music every half an hour and the statue of animals move around it. This will be fun and cool to watch. The music differs every time. Make sure to arrive at the right time. This is free and it's near central park

I have been to this park many years ago and stopped at this place to rest and watch the clock rings music every half an hour and the statues of animals moved around it. The music differs by time, and by season.

We were walking near the zoo when we saw people running toward the 'clock gate'. We didn't thought much of it until we heard music! As we walked closer we saw the statues of animals rotating around the clock. It was fun and cool.

The timeless classic clock of the Central Park Zoo is fun to watch as it rings in the hour. No zoo tickets are required to see this as it is outside the zoo entrance.

Walking through the zoo towards the clock to hear the tune playing on the hour and a half hour is always a pleasure. During the holiday season, the tunes are holiday tunes.
