We drove 4 hours from WNY to finally check out the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh because I had been so curious to visit. We all loved it!!! Each floor offered something unique and wonderful.
The first floor was full of ad hoc creativity and amazing industrial reuse. This was were we spent most our time moving back amd forth between the spaces.
The nursery on the second floor was calm and thoughtfully designed. A perfect space for little ones, but it equally entertained my 5-year-olds.
The third-floor Waterplay exhibit was unlike anything we’ve ever seen. Modern, engaging, and so much fun. We even took the time to change into bathing suits so we could fully experience it!
We frequently visit The Strong Museum of Play in Rochester and Explore & More in Buffalo, so I wasn’t sure how the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh would compare. Honestly, it exceeded expectations. This museum is such a special place that beautifully balances creativity, learning, and play. Highly recommend!
