Love this addition to Carson City! Not enough for our tweens to really do after they've aged out of the children's museum.
I've waited to check this place out bc sadly my son wasn't tall enough before. I measured him today and said "we're going to the track!"
Took my 10 year old son and a friend of his. My son has never driven a go-kart, until now he's only been able to be a passenger while I drive at other establishments.
These karts are FAST and single driver only, and I was a little worried about him being able to control the kart.
The staff is EXCELLENT and patient and explained everything in the beginning and made sure we had all our safety equipment and seat belts correctly installed.
After a couple laps my son realized his foot pedals were just a little too far. He pulled off to the side and the staff was right there to help and get him on the way quickly enough so he wasn't even a half-lap behind. A couple laps later he decided he couldn't see well enough over the steering wheel, and the staff had a booster seat installed for him in under 30 seconds again. They seemed like real pros, even the guy who was only on his second shift!
Slick track is fast and so much fun to drift on. Karts have reverse if you get stuck.
These are definitely some of the fastest karts I've had the privilege to drive. I'm not some kind of expert, but I've driven more than a few in my 45 years on this earth. A lot of times I've ended up bored bc the karts didn't go as fast as I'd like. Maybe it's just bc it's a slick course or how they have it set up, but I never felt like I wasn't going fast enough or got bored. We did 2 races which was about 20 minutes of driving, and I could have kept going for another hour at least.
The only problem I had was trying to get back out of the kart with my old-@** bones, lol.
There are a few arcade games, air hockey and a pool table for additional entertainment. Not enough that I'd take the trip across town just for the arcade, but we were able to add a little more time to our fun playing games. The boys wanted to try their hands at axe throwing, but I wasn't too comfortable with that since the axes are like half their height. Fun fur adults though!
I had no idea we had an Escape Room in Carson City! We didn't have time tonight, but will definitely be back to check that out!
I am so happy to have this locally, and I really had more fun here than any of the go-kart tracks in Reno. The staff here was better and MUCH friendlier too!
OUTSTANDING, FUN ADDITION TO CARSON CITY. IF YOU'RE TALLER THAN 48", YOU WON'T FIND ANYTHING MORE FUN! (Sober anyway)
