This is a medium sized park that is quite picturesque and is full of people walking dogs. It is a mix of mature evergreen trees and younger deciduous. There are concrete walking paths as well as some nature paths. The play area has sections...Read More

My dog and I really like Bryan Johnston Park, despite it's high school gym teacherish name. There's plenty of room to walk with him, and I can even let him off the leash sometimes because the park isn't ever too crowded. The park is kind...Read More

Two baby swings in the littles play area. There's a separate big kid area. Very hilly but good for a visit. Limited on street parking.

Nice neighborhood park. Run the kiddoes and walk the doggo. Some shaded picnic benches; easy in-and-out street parking.
Two playground areas. Younger kids will enjoy the slide and climbing structure area. There are swings and fun metal play structures for the older kids to practice their balancing skills in the adjacent play area.On leash. Some shaded picnic tables under the tall pine trees.

Great park surrounded by beautiful neighborhoods out in South Salem. There is one basketball hoop, a playground and a paved trail that has some elevation. I don’t think they have any restrooms though. This is a good place for families.

Very clean, family oriented with equipment for kids to play on. I see some kind of cleaning or checking on it's almost every time I go there. Great park to start walking in, paved paths are even and well cared for. Unpaved has bark...Read More

Pretty unique playground with lots of climbing and balancing equipment. Also has more toddler friendly playground. Quite a long path for walking or running. Not too much shade. Has a table with chess or checkers setup if you bring your own pieces.

This is one of our favorite Salem city parks. There is not a ton of parking, but usually you can find a spot close by. If you have a dog (on a leash) or kids this is a fun place to visit. There are two...Read More

Many park tables in the shade, and unique play equipment make this a great spot when it's warm out. If it's too hot though I would hold off - none of the equipment is shaded. Large grassy area to play in. Limited parallel parking roadside,...Read More

Love our park ❤️ we walk to this park almost every day. The play equipment is great and well maintained. I wish it had a restroom and a splash pad fountain but that may be too much to ask for.

I love this park the playground itself is unlike others I've been to and I'd say, help kids use more of their imagination. I definitely recommend visiting the park sometime. There are also nice walking paths, a bike rack, and a basketball court.
No restroomsDog friendly but keep them on a leash. Many picnic tables that are in the shade.

We love it here as it’s the park closest to home. Shooting hoops, tossing the football around, riding bikes, walking and jogging the trails - birthday gatherings at times and just letting the kids play are all activities we enjoy here.
All playground equipment and area is in functionally working order. We keep our pupperdoos on a leash at all times and find that most all folks do the same and it seems that most all pupperdoo parents pick up after their pups as well. It’s good to go for a walk and toss the ball sometimes.Several picnic tables scattered about the park to choose from.

I love the park. However they keep seeing a cougar around. I'm not even kidding! There are signs about it! Apparently it likes to eat small children. Not really :) I'd keep an eye out though. They see it at...Read More

Nice park with play structures, including a few swings, and walking paths. One section of walking path is paved and the farther path has barkdust. There's a basketball hoop, too.

Love this park, good for moderate walking and jogging with a bit of variety with flat straights, uphills, and side trails. Dog friendly and kid friendly with a small playground.

This park has very different equipment from others. The equipment is all kinetic and allows children a new way of thinking and experiencing their movement. This park is NOT a good place for children with motion sickness.

It's a cute little park, but if I want to take my 3 year old it's usually over-run by older kids, so it's harder for her to play there
