Beautiful park for afternoon hikes. I biked the Brand Motorway. It's 3.7 miles and about 1800 feet elevation gain or am average of 11% gradient. The views from the top are incredible and worth the effort whether hiking or biking.

Lovely little park great to spend an afternoon with the kids. Visit the Japanede garden, read at the library, play at the playground then cool off at the wading pool. Enough shade on hot days to stay relatively cool.

Moderate trails with views of the Verdugo Mountains. It’s less crowded than Griffith, which I like. There’s a small library and historic building at the base. Parking is free and easy. A good weekend spot.
