I couldn’t stop walking! Love the new(ish) section behind the St. Cloud Civic Center. Can you find the ever-present Mountain Dew bottle? No Minnesota park or river is complete without discarded plastic.

Great place to go walking and during the winter being able to get right next to the Mississippi! There was about 35 or so Swans just sitting out there towards the Hydro Dam. They were beyond noisy but entertaining to say the least.

This is a great starting spot for running the river. Takeout spots at River bluffs or Clearwater. Also a swing to sit on and watch the dam. Biking and walking.

Excellent biking and hiking along the Mississippi. 2 hour parking. Public Restroom. Great place to kayak too. PSA: Don’t leave valuables in your car. Never noticed any problems but people do camp along the river overnight. Yes there are beavers 🦫

Cute little paved trail along the river, good for walks and bike rides. Gets a little rocky further south and narrows at times, so be aware of that. Update (2025): trail has been re-paved and is now smoother than your protein shake. 11/10, will bike/hike again!

Good place to park and head down the beaver island bike trail. There is also a good spot to launch canoes or kayaks

Love bringing my dog here! Took a family walk and brought my dog because he is skiddish and training. Very few people and it was a nice training session with few interruptions

I loved how people took notice we were training him and didn’t get offended with his barking and stuff

Its a nice paved trail that can take you from the Hydro dam down to the SpeeDee delivery warehouse. Its well maintained and easy to follow and has 3 different parking lots you can start from.

Cool to see dam, walking on trail, enjoy my day at there, nice view of Mississippi river, I do see some people go fishing by river try to catch little mouth bass or muskie.
