Absolutely loved this place. So many new flowers and trees to identify. Liked the architecture. Plant net app does a good job of identifying plants for you even in low internet sites.

I was really impressed at how lovely the garden was maintained. The trails down to the river are filled with plants that Barttam was cultivating back in the late 1700’s. This is truly a magical place to experience the history of American horticulture!
Clean and easily accessibleTables are very near the parking area and super convenient

Great garden and educational space. Easy walking paths through the gardens or along the waterfront. Spectacular views of downtown Philadelphia. The welcome center has informative staff and cute merchandise like totes, t-shirts, seeds, live plants, local honey, etc.
Swings and things to climb. Looks like a fun time for toddler and older aged kids.Available near the welcome center. Large, accessible and clean.

Once you get here, you discover another world outside of the city. Traffic noises mostly disappear and the sounds of nature ring in your ears. A wonderful place to decompress from the urban landscape.
