I was nervous and anxious walking into the immigration office on a windy 7:35 AM for my appointment. Honestly, I almost didn’t go especially with everything you hear in the news these days. The wind was blowing so bad at 7am walking towards USCIS office I thought Mother Nature was hinting for me to go back. But I can’t thank Kelly, Angel, Karen, and their incredible team enough for guiding me through the entire process of applying for and successfully obtaining my U.S. citizenship.
I had the privilege of meeting Kelly before Covid and zoom meetings. Kelly is a 1000 times better to meet in person, he was an immigration officer before and he is very intelligent and luckily humble I was a little intimidated at first but he is really just a cool guy and wants to help and while he’s brilliant, he’s also approachable and kind (just don’t try to BS him!).
Angel truly lives up to her name—one of the kindest, most compassionate attorneys you’ll ever meet. Even if you don’t have an immigration case, make an appointment just to see what an angel looks like.
I was especially nervous because I’m not perfect—not an angel myself, just an average person who hasn’t always made the best decisions. But with their help, what could have been a stressful process became manageable—and even empowering.
I’m now a naturalized U.S. citizen, and it feels good. I’ll always be grateful to this team for helping make my dream a reality. I’ll miss you all!
