This company offers a number of services, but for a divorce- I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND USING THEM IF IT WAS FREE.
My experience started out on a bad note, when I kept calling to see if my Divorce Petition was written up yet and ready to sign and it was nearly impossible to get ahold of them. At this point, I wanted to cancel but I had already paid them. So when I finally got ahold of someone, I scheduled a 10am appointment to sign the papers. I waited outside of the place for 2 hours until 12pm on a HOT summer day with 2 kids on Long Beach Blvd because when I called the number, they said they were on their way and would be there shortly.
I called EVERY month to find out what the next steps were and it was very unclear the entire time. They emailed me workbooks about assets and child custody, when those were not even going to be a part of the divorce. I just wanted it finalized and I would handle the child custody/support separately. Fast forward to 2 weeks before what should’ve been my divorce date (because it should take 6 months and a day from the day the other party is served), I asked what was going on and what needed to be done and they said “your final closing documents will be ready to sign in middle February” WHICH IS PAST THE DATE THE DIVORCE SHOULD HAVE BEEN FINALIZED. So I said that, and they said okay. Come on in and sign them when you have a chance.
Fast forward again to a month after the divorce should have been finalized- STILL NOTHING DOCUMENTED IN THE COURT’S SYSTEM (you can look online), so I emailed Jayme about it and she said they were dropped off at the courts the day after I signed, which would have been February 6 because I signed them February 5. After seeing nothing in the court’s system and 3 emails unresponded to, I decided to go down to the court and see what was going on. They informed me the documents were NOT submitted and they do not have them. Jayme sent me pictures of “proof” that they were dropped off at the court on February 20!!! Not the day she told me, February 6. But the court’s clerk told me whoever had them stamped must have accidentally taken the originals because they do not have them. Sooo... I had to go from Orange to Long Beach and back to Orange to get the documents and submit them myself. And now the wait continues when it should have been finalized February 7....
THE WORST COMPANY EVER!!!! And full of excuses. Going through a divorce is a very confusing process, and this company does not help to make it any easier. It was very unorganized and unclear the entire time. I hope nobody else has to deal with this when they pay for a service to help make the process easier. I feel like I would have been better off doing it myself. AND I LOOKED ONLINE AND THEY NOW HAVE THE FORMS ONLINE TO E-FILE!! I would definitely recommend going that route before paying this company.
