HIS RECEPTIONIST THRETENED TO SUE ME AND CALLED ME A RACIST FOR ASKING FOR A CONSULTATION!! Please apologize for this long review, but it’s so unbelievable I figured I have to explain it all. I’ve attached photo proof that I was a potential client incase the firm says I was never a client (they quickly tried to refund me only after I said I would leave a review- to be able to say I was never a client) I contacted this firm to get help removing an event from my record. This was extremely emotional, painful to even bring up to anyone. It all started amazing, apart from the attitude from the receptionists, Alex and Jenn. From the first call they did not like me! Despite this, I had a great consultation with Lawyer Shook and he lived up to these amazing reviews, and more. He listened, said my case was common and likely defendable. He explained it would be a partial hiring before starting the case. So we set another consultation. Instead of allowing me to finish our first consultation which got cut short, he wanted me to already do work for the case. All before one full consultation with all my of questions answered. He had his receptionist call me, give me chores, and said I cancelled my consultation until they were done. I explained me and my husband arnt even sure yet we’re going to start this case we have more questions. The receptionist just blew up on me and cancelled it anyway. She even starting making fun of my case and made many demeaning comments to me. She said she would ask the lawyer to keep the appointment then get back to me. At the end of the call, Jenn (the young receptionist) says, very annoyed with me: “We’ll see if he’ll even want this case after I tell him about this phone call!!” This sentence was very alarming to us, for this receptionist to be threatening our ability to hire this lawyer according to her opinion of the clients. So a week goes by, no word. She also never sent me the info she had to for these “chores” (which involved spending tons of money). So I call again and try to get an update and they just go crazy on me, saying like “How dare you call us we told you we aren’t giving you a consultation!” It was just insane. They denied ever saying that first sentence too, they were just nasty, Jenn and Alex. They even said: Alex was like: “we decided we’re not working with you because we love Jenn no one has EVER had a problem! and we believe her!!!” I pointed out that there were several bad reviews about the reception staff as y’all can see here, they still denied this too!!! It was just chaos. All because I had more questions about my case. This all ended with them eventually threatening to SUE ME FOR CALLING THEIR OFFICE!!!!! THEY EVEN CALLED ME A RACIST! I am an immigrant myself and they accused me of being racist towards immigrants?? Not even related to my case! So maybe they’re crazy liberals? I just don’t know. I really had high hopes, opened up to this lawyer who claims to care about his clients and care to resolve these cases and treat them amazing but the way he allows his staff to treat people who they don’t like is abominable. That DOES reflect on him. And there’s no way to contact him at all, even for a complaint! I would be very suprised if he even knows what happened because the way he sounds is night and day compared to his staff. I had already sent them my personal info, medical record with my social on it too, and then they threaten to sue me for calling, bully me into submission and make fun of my case on the phone. At this point I’m scared that these people have my information, these girls Jenn and Alex are very nasty! Not the type of staff you want!!! Thankfully they refunded me but they also entered my address wrong, so hopefully I’ll get that refund because if I call them to correct anything (their own spelling mistakes) then they’ll SUE ME!! This will be the first he even hears about this, I have no doubt they didn’t tell him any of this! They will demonize you, call you names and demean your case if you try to get help from this office!

Before working with Ron and his lovely team, I must admit that I was not a big fan of lawyers. I’ve had to work with a handful of attorneys in my life, and I found most of them to be dishonest, greedy, and just not kind people. During difficult times, it was always hard to get in contact with these lawyers, and when I did get a hold of them, they charged me for every phone call, email, and text. Whenever I needed them, Ron and his team were there for me, and in a lot of ways, they felt like more like friends who genuinely cared about supporting me, both legally and mentally. During a time when I had no one to talk to about a difficult legal situation, Ron and his entire team would often have group brainstorming sessions just to strategize & problem solve with me. I often joked that they were the best therapists I ever had :) In the end, Mr. Ronald Shook and his amazing team were able to get the best possible outcome for my case, and I will forever be grateful for all the hard work they put in. Without a doubt, Ron will be my personal attorney going forward, and I highly recommend this law firm to anyone that needs a razor sharp legal mind, and an attorney that authentically cares about his clients.
