As of June 24, 2023 she's my attorney and I have been her client for over a year. I paid her what's owed per the retainer and capitulated to her request when she needed my assistance.
I asked her several times during the past 2 months to file paperwork to initiate the divorce and she hasn't responded nor contacted me.
I emailed attorney Diaz on January 24th 2023, February 4th 2023, February 6th 2023 and after no response I wrote a letter to the Bar. I didn't want to, however she never emailed, called, or texted me back.
After I filed a complaint with the bar, Attorney Diaz reached out to me in April 2023. We communicated briefly via email and she sent me some forms to complete. I told her, I have no assets so please complete and let's move forward. Remind you not, I'm not an attorney so the forms should have been done by her or her staff and deducted from the retainer. When you think a client doesn't have assets, it's an easy process.
Attorney Diaz communicated to me in May 2023 and I sent several emails again on May 17th 2023, June 5th 2023, June 11th 2023, and June 13th 2023 and no response whatsoever. Shortly thereafter, I decided to text Attorney Diaz June 21st of 2023 and I still haven't received a response.
I will gladly modify this review to a 5 star if she finishes what we started and file the divorce and we move forward. I had several attorneys before and I have never been treated this way in my entire life by a paid professional. I wish I had glowing things to say about Attorney Diaz however my experience has been horrendous. I told Attorney Diaz my goal is to be divorced by the end of the year 2023. I started this process with her in the year 2022. We are halfway through the year and I'm back at square root 1. I'm back where I started.
I'm appalled how I have been treated as a client and it's preposterous how her lack of communication or lack there of and executing a divorce. Again, I will change this review if Attorney Diaz does what she's paid to do and execute it in a timely manner. It's been 1 year and I'm not halfway through my divorce. I'm at square root 1, back where I started.
