I only gave one star because there is no option to give no stars. I’m not sure what motivated Annie Shih to write the rave review that she wrote for Ms. Gillespie, but don’t let Ms. Shih’s eloquent words fool you! Ms. Gillespie is the type of attorney that gives attorney’s a bad name.
Anyone familiar with Annie Shih’s case, would agree that Ms. Gillespie’s arguments were always feeble at best and that she was consistently shot down by judges during the divorce procedure, which was drawn out, unnecessarily, by Ms. Gillespie, for 5 years.
What Annie Shih refers to as “ongoing conflict by her ex” was actually ongoing chaos caused by Ms. Gillespie’s desperate attempts to create chaos and confusion during court hearings and eek out anything she could to unfairly benefit Ms. Shih. But in the process, she cost Ms. Shih and all involved, hundreds of thousands of dollars in billable hours to herself and opposing council and in the end, arrived at a decision that could have been arrived at years prior.
I can assure anyone who is interested in hiring Ms. Gillespie, that they will probably soon regret that they did so. Unless you have over a hundred thousand dollars to spend on a divorce preceding to gain tiny irrelevant victories, out of spite for your former spouse, I would recommend you find representation elsewhere.
