We needed a consultation for immigration, and the person who spoke to us told us that the best way to get a consultation was to enter into a contract. This way, not only would we have access to the “team” of lawyers, but we could also use the lawyers for representation if needed.
However, since we didn’t need to submit anything to USCIS, we thought this was unnecessary and expensive. Despite this, the person insisted. We proceeded because we thought that by paying the steep price, we would receive good service.
Once we signed the contract and paid the initial $1000, we were never able to get the consultation. They asked us for documents a couple of times to submit the case to USCIS via email, even though we clearly told them we only needed a consultation. This scared us a little because it indicated they weren't well organized. We repeatedly requested to speak with a lawyer but kept getting transferred. They never called us back. We only received emails about payments, which they called “a courtesy.”
We continued making payments, but after months of receiving no callbacks or any service, we started panicking, as we had never been scammed before and didn’t know what to do. We decided to stop making payments and called them asking for an explanation. They told us we could only talk to accounting because we had stopped the payments.
Then we realized they just wanted to get as much money from us as possible without providing any service. We were robbed. They denied any refund and gave us a completely fabricated explanation of the expenses, which shows again they have a chaotic operation (check the picture for details).
