Disability is frightening enough - having to file for disability in the US is downright terrifying and overwhelming. When I came to Summit Disability Law Group (SDLG), I wasn't sure what to expect. I felt exhausted, defeated, and generally overwhelmed. I just wanted to take control of my life and focus on healing. Jake Lee was very helpful and kind. When he agreed to take my case, I felt a huge weight lifted from my shoulders. The folks at SDLG are familiar with this process and know what they're doing. They kept in contact with me via phone and e-mail, requesting necessary information and/or updating me as things moved along. I had filed for disability in 2015, but I didn't come to SDLG until 2016; after that, it took about a year for my case to be resolved successfully. The day I received my approval letter, I cried from sheer relief. Finally, I felt like I was back in control of my life. I wouldn't have been able to accomplish that without Jake Lee and the folks at SDLG. Yes, it was a lengthy process, but that was beyond our control; I appreciated them answering my questions and keeping me informed in the meantime. I was honestly worried that any legal help would just be in it for the money, but SDLG put those fears to rest. I was especially impressed when, the night before my court appearance, Jake remained in the office after hours to rewrite my case based on some new (and helpful) medical information. He didn't have to do that, but I feel like he genuinely cared about my case and wanted us to win. If you're filing for disability, or you've filed and been denied, I would recommend setting up an appointment with SDLG. You'll feel so much better when you have them in your corner. I'm very grateful that they helped me win my case and reclaim my life.
