In my initial conversation with Daniel, I could tell that he understood several key points of the transaction which were critical for us to address properly. His initial draft of the purchase agreement not only covered those points just as we had discussed but also addressed several other issues that we had not considered. Unfortunately, the deal fell through because of the seller's unwillingness to grant unfettered access to financial and other information. When we received our invoice for services, I was stunned by how few hours Daniel had charged us when compared to the superior representation he had provided.
Naturally, we asked for Daniel's services when the opportunity to buy out a business partner arose. I am sure that Daniel's familiarity with the nature of our business from our prior experience helped quite a bit but the buyout was a standard arrangement. The seller's attorney, however, decided to make the matter way more difficult than it needed to be by insisting on multiple sets of changes that were non-substantive, attempting to make fundamental changes to the nature of the deal and asking for irrelevant exhibits (then telling his client, our then business partner, that we had asked for them). The seller's attorney dragged the process out so long that we signed the agreement the day of closing. Through it all, Daniel handled everything quickly and efficiently and was always readily available. Again, our invoice for services was much smaller than I would have guessed, especially given opposing counsel's antics.
I feel that we made an excellent choice utilizing Daniel's services and wholeheartedly recommend him.
