Why take a pro bono case for someone who really needed the help then NEVER follow up with them. I made a bad decision in December 2021. After nearly a year of continuation, I asked for a court appointed attorney. The case was continued several more times, twice because without even notifying me, the attorney was a no-show. Finally, 1 week before Christmas 2022, he showed up and told me what he needed from me to get my driving privilege. I sent EVERYTHING via email that same day, December 16, 2022. I've left at least 30 voicemails and sent just as many emails inquiring about my paperwork. Literally, 2 weeks ago, an aide advised I needed to pay $100 processing fee so the attorney could file for my driving privilege. Four months and no follow-up calls or email to me, and no one ever advised I needed to pay anything until 2 weeks ago. We hand delivered the money to a drop box as instructed. I've called 4 times since to verify they received it and when I may expect my driving privilege paperwork. Still no answers or replies. I've lost 3 job opportunities due to not being able to drive to interviews l, and 2 grandchildrens birthday parties, and I have another one interview tomorrow. If you're going to volunteer to help people in need, please don't leave them hanging. It's hard enough paying for my one big mistake, but having this firm supposedly represent and help me has been a nerve-racking nightmare. My ptsd and insomnia have gotten so bad over this situation that I'm on the verge of a nervous breakdown. My mental, spiritual, and physical health are at risk because of the neglect of these people. My advice is to pay for an attorney, and even if you do, don't use this group.
