If I could give negative stars, I would!Unfortunately, in order to leave a review, I’m required to give at least one star. That DOES NOT mean that’s the rating I feel they deserve. They have failed to show up at multiple hearings for my case and didn’t even call for my SCHEDULED initial phone consultation that I set up when they were appointed to me back in MARCH! I called to inquire about the fact that I had an appointment that wasn’t kept and was given no explanation, apology or anything else other than being told there were no other appointments available and I would see him in court (which didn’t happen, obviously). This firm has been appointed to my case for almost 5 months and today is the first time I’ve seen or spoken to my attorney. I had no clue what to do or how to do handle what was happening so I went back to the courtroom that assigned them to me in the first place to find out. Afterall, I didn’t know how else to get legal information and decided to find someone that had that knowledge to point me in the right direction. Once I went back upstairs to my assigned courtroom, I finally met my attorney but was berated for “causing a disturbance” by “breaking into another courtroom” (The judge didn’t seem to mind pointing me in the right direction) When I explained that I didn’t know how else to get the information I needed and I also suffer from diagnosed anxiety disorder I was treated as if I was crazy or irrational. He then explained that he was busy preparing for an “important case”. Apparently, my case isn’t important! 🤦‍♀️ I ended up requesting a new attorney and thankfully got one. Also, they take cases in multiple counties and that was sited repeatedly by their office and by my attorney today as a reason they’re unable to speak with me. Apparently the fact that they CHOOSE to practice in several counties is my problem and a reason my case should be completely ignored. I would have had better representation with a 5th grader. Do not waste your time or money. Although they were appointed to me as I said before, I feel so cheated by this firm at this point that I feel like I should be given hazard pay for the additional anxiety they caused. I’ve actually filed a formal complaint with the NC state bar association at this point.

Hired Mr. Seegar back in February to take my case. Literally ran him down outside of the courthouse. He said he would take care of it. After that day I didn’t hear from Mr.Seegar ever again. My case didn’t actually go to court until October, he moved my court date at least 5 times. Every single time I asked for an update I had to call and get an update. They never called or emailed me ever. I need seen customer service like this in my life. Last month I had to call again(his receptionist) to get an update and they told me my case was done, I then asked when were they going to tell me it was. She had no answer. So I asked for Mr. Seegar to give me a call back as soon as possible. It took me calling back 3 times for him to call me back and today I just found out I spoke with Mr. Townsend not Mr.Seegar. So I spoke with Mr Townsend and he said he’s going to get the court to relook at my case. Just a traffic ticket so I thought it would be quick, he said he had court on Friday, it was Tuesday so again I assumed we would have an answer by Monday. Didn’t hear from him, so I called back and I been calling almost every week and asking for him to call me back and he still didn’t call me. So last week I get a letter and email stating my license was going to be suspended, if they don’t receive my payment. I’m confused because I never received anything from Mr. Seegar on court cost. I called again and sent a email and he was supposed call me back and still nothing. I found out today they put a late charge on my court fees for $50 dollars. So I called today and spoke with his receptionist and again she said he will give me a call. At this point I don’t believe anything she’s saying so she said he has court today, I told her I was going to just meet him there and she said she will let him know. I drive 30 minutes to the Concord Courthouse and then I Call her back to let her know I was here and she doesn’t answer the phone. I called 7 times before I went into the courthouse and looked in every courthouse. I spoke with an officer there and she said she hasn’t seen Mr. Seegar today. Then I walk over to his practice and he’s not there either. This is by far the worst worst worst legal practice around. I will never recommend this place to anyone. Didn’t even offer to pay the $50 dollar late fee for the inconvenience.
